Steve Moore is a retired Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and has a keen interest in both local and family history. He lives in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, is married to a direct descendant of Polly Button and has two children.
He has been responsible for leading professional projects that have gained national and international recognition. These include the International Association of Human-Animal Interaction Organizations (IAHAIO) Pets in Cities Award, two National Food Safety awards, the HELA Award for Innovation (for a business-friendly health and safety project) and the Domestos Health Education award. He has been recognised for these achievements with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health President’s Award.
He enjoys watching rugby union and is a long-standing (literally) member of Leicester Tigers. He follows the ups and downs of Wolverhampton Wanderers and has been pleased to see more ups in recent times!
Steve has had occasional success when entering prize competitions, including winning trips to Paris on the Orient Express and to New York to see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
The Undoing of Polly Button project has taken five years to research and bring to fruition in the form of a book and website.
